Stof collage – CHANGE

Derfor rammer Barack Obamas ikoniske citat mig dybt: “Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.’

I am trying to push myself to accept the imperfect and refrain from always striving to have everything under control. There is often something exciting in the contrasts, so on this fabric piece, I have chosen to embroider as messy and imperfectly as possible, precisely to open up the possibility of embracing the imperfect.

I am very inspired by the idea that everything we desire always begins with making a change within ourselves. Therefore, Barack Obama’s iconic quote resonates deeply with me: “Change will not come if we wait for some other person, or if we wait for some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” I have incorporated this thought into this new piece.
