Collage plates

For some time now it has been “trendy” having a lot of frames hanging on the wall. Filled with different types of artwork. I wish for some interesting pieces of art to pop up amongst these stereotype frames.

This is why I made my “Plate series”. A tribute to my old grandmother who used to hang plates on the wall. It has been a very popular thing to do for the past hundred years, so I wanted to create a piece for the modern home.

Hang up

I am loving the wooven pieces fra the All Roads studio. All Roads is a creative workshop and textile studio based in Los Angeles. I picked out a few of my favorites to show you.

I love the contrast between the tight weaving and the fluffy and dangling parts of yarn. I find the combination very inspiring. Reminiscent of the indigenous people, and their use of patterns which are very popluar at the moment.

For some time now it has been “trendy” having a lot of frames hanging on the wall. Filled with different types of artwork. I wish for some interesting pieces of art to pop up amongst these steriotype frames. This is why I made my “Plate series”. to spice it up a bit.

These wooven peices would be perfect for this, in my opinion you can never get enough fluff on your walls.
